Meet the team
ACES Marketing was set up in 2014 by Amanda Edwards and Sarah Clements. Looking to provide an exceptional service for small to medium clients, they work with some of the best people in the business: creative, technical and experienced.
Sarah has a background of more than 25 years working in financial services marketing for AXA and Legal & General. Over a 10 year tenure she transformed AXA's broker communications by introducing a new website, YouTube channel and digital magazine. Sarah was the marketing lead for AXA's direct online solution aimed at small businesses and the self employed, resulting in the launch of AXA Business Insurance in 2011. Sarah has proven ability in the areas of customer acquisition and retention, PR, event management, business development, brand management, research, affinity relationships and customer communications.
Amanda joined Swiftcover shortly after launch and was pivotal in helping establish it as a leading digital insurance brand. In 2010 Amanda planned and launched a fully integrated marketing campaign for AXA motor insurance with a clear market positioning, proposition and target audience to complement, and not cannibalise, the Swiftcover brand. 2011 saw Amanda launch two further products, Swiftcover home and AXA home insurance. As Head of Marketing, Amanda led on all direct marketing activity for AXA and Swiftcover insurance with particular focus on customer retention and cross selling.
Spencer has been working in design, both online and off line, for 19 years. His most recent role saw him working as Head of Design for AXA, where he led a team of designers responsible for all the online design activity for the AXA Direct and Swiftcover brands. The majority of his career has been spent as a freelance designer, working for brands such as Emirates, Land Rover, and Dove. In his spare time Spencer plays the guitar for a band, playing fixtures across London and the South.
Nic is an experienced web developer with 12 years working for a mix of small businesses and large corporate brands. Most recently he has been working for AXA where he was pivotal in the launch of their online business insurance. He can turn his hand to pretty much anything IT related, from innovative apps to secure payment and ecommerce systems.
With 7 years experience in digital marketing, Abra specialises in content and SEO. With a marketing agency background, she became Digital Content Editor at the UK's leading woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust. After leading on both online and offline marketing at the Ann Craft Trust, more recently she has become a freelance content and SEO consultant, working for businesses and charities across the UK.
With over 7 years specialising in digital marketing, Clare has experience spanning areas such as paid search, online display, social media marketing, content creation, website optimisation and campaign analysis. Clare’s most recent role was at AXA Insurance where she managed the online acquisition activity for both the AXA and Swiftcover brands, managing campaigns through inception, delivery and analysis. Now working on a freelance basis, Clare currently focuses on content creation for several brands.
Tim is a highly skilled marketer with over 25 years’ solid experience working with a wide range of organisations across many different industries, all are leaders in their own fields. His in-depth work for clients spans many diverse business categories including travel with Heathrow Airport, financial services at Lloyds of London, re-insurance at the French SCOR group, software with the US-based virtualisation company vmWare, retailing at vision specialists SpecSavers, with government at the Department of International Development, healthcare with the National Health Service’s Recovery College and also in construction and property development at Willmott Dixon. Tim is a specialist in marketing/communication training (including LinkedIn).
